Regelbau R630 Large MG Embrasure - Wargaming 3D Printed Model
The Regelbau 630 machine gun embrasure was a bunker that formed part of the German Atlantik Wall coastal defence system during WW2.
This model typifies the R630 design although variants were made. The bunker had room for 6 crew men and was prominent in the defences at Normandy and the D-Day beaches. These bunkers had multiple machine gun positions and were highly defended, often positioned with others of the same type in crossing fields of fire along the beaches.
This model of bunker had approx. 225 built during the war in various countries including France and Denmark. 35 tonnes of iron were used in its construction and 610 cubic meters of concrete were used in its construction with an average excavation of 400 cubic meters of soil
