Description
Total Survival Suit – 3D Printed Model
The TSS had directed beam weapons and was controlled by a direct link with the operator’s brain. It was also capable of functioning autonomously with a simple program — such as “Return to base”, for example. The expedition to Deva Loka was outfitted with one TSS.
From the Peter Davidson Episode – Kinda
The machine had been used previously by two members of the expedition named Stone and Carter (PROSE: Kinda) to explore the area, but both disappeared without trace. Another called Roberts had also recently been in the TSS, but had also gone missing; the machine was empty when first discovered by the Fifth Doctor and Adric. When Adric impulsively shut the TSS’s door, the machine activated and marched him and the Doctor to the expedition’s domed base.
Sanders used the TSS when he left the base to explore the area, whereupon he came upon Panna and Karuna in a jungle clearing, who presented him with a mysterious box.
Later, Adric used the TSS to defend against the Mara-possessed Aris’s attack, but was unable to control it effectively and his fear made its weaponry activate. The machine fired upon the Kinda and they fled.
Shortly after the TARDIS left Deva Loka, Adric received a telling-off from the Doctor for being so reckless with the TSS, as the entire Kinda tribe could have been wiped out as a result.
This 3D design fits with other Doctor Who miniatures and display models.

Production and shipping.
All our models are printed to order. Printing is usually completed within a few days, but bulk orders and large models may take longer to print. During busy periods, it can take up to 10 days to dispatch orders, but this uncommon.
Models are printed and shipped in from the UK.
We 3D print our models with a high-quality resin which precisely replicates fine details. The resin is ?ABS-like? which means it is less fragile and has little bit of flex. Once printed, models are then cleaned and have support material removed. A small amount of support material may remail on the model, but this can be removed with a craft knife or clippers. The models are usually printed hollow. |
